This guide teaches you everything — no tech knowledge required.
🎮 What You Need
- Analogue 3D console
- The included SD card (or any FAT32/exFAT SD card)
- A computer (Windows/macOS/Linux)
- Internet access
🟩 1. Check Your Current Firmware Version
- Turn on your Analogue 3D.
- Open Settings from the home screen.
- Go to System.
- Look for 3D OS Version.
If the version is older than the one on Analogue’s website, it’s time to update.
🟦 2. Download the Latest Firmware
- On your computer, visit:
https://www.analogue.co/support/3d/firmware
- Download the newest 3D OS Update File (usually
.bin or .upd).
🟨 3. Prepare the SD Card
Method A — Using the SD Card (Recommended)
- Insert the SD card into your PC.
- Open the SD card folder.
- Copy the update file into the root directory (not inside a folder).
- Ensure you delete any older firmware, if it is still on the SD card.
- Safely eject the card.
Method B — Using USB-C (Mount Mode)
- Connect your Analogue 3D to your PC via USB-C.
- On the console: Settings → Storage → Mount SD Card.
- Your PC will now show the SD card as a drive.
- Copy the update file to the root directory.
- Select Unmount on the console before disconnecting.
🟧 4. Install the Firmware
- Insert the SD card back into the Analogue 3D (if removed).
- Turn on the console.
- You’ll see: “Update Found — Install Now?”
- Choose Yes.
The system will reboot and install the update.
⚠️ Do not turn off the console during installation.
🟦 5. Confirm the Update
After the reboot:
- Open Settings → System.
- Check that the 3D OS Version matches the latest version online.
If yes — you’re fully updated! 🎉
❗ Troubleshooting
⚠️ “No Update Found”
- Update file must be in the root directory.
- Ensure the file name wasn’t modified (browsers sometimes add
(1)).
- Verify the SD card is inserted correctly.
⚠️ Update Failed / UI Glitches / Boot Problems
Try Force OS Update Mode:
- Power off the console.
- Insert SD card with update file.
- Hold the front Analogue button.
- Turn on the console while still holding.
- Release only when the update screen appears.
⚠️ SD Card Not Detected
